Product Description

Conventional Heat Detector For Fire Alarm Fire Detection System In Building

Conventional Fire Alarm System Building Fire Detection with Heat Detector 0

Introduction

This Heat detector consists of the following key components:

Sensing Element:
The sensing element is the core component that detects changes in temperature.
It can use either a fixed temperature or a rate-of-rise principle to detect heat.
Fixed temperature detectors activate the alarm when the temperature reaches a predetermined threshold.
Rate-of-rise detectors activate the alarm when the temperature rises at a rapid rate, indicating a potential fire.

Alarm Horn/Sounder:
When the sensing element detects a rise in temperature, the heat detector activates a loud audible alarm, typically a high-decibel beeping or buzzing sound.
The alarm is intended to wake up and alert occupants to the presence of a heat source, prompting them to evacuate the area.

Power Source:
Conventional heat detectors can be powered by  a hardwired connection to the building's electrical system.

Status Indicators:
Heat detectors often have visual status indicators, such as LED lights, to provide feedback on the device's operational status.
These indicators can signal issues like low battery, sensor malfunctions, or normal operation.

Mounting:
Conventional heat detectors are typically mounted on the ceiling or high on walls, as heat rises and accumulates at the ceiling level.
The mounting hardware allows for easy installation and replacement of the detector as needed.

Installation

INSTALLATION
NOTE: All wiring must conform to applicable local codes, ordinances, and regulations.
NOTE: Verify that all detector bases are installed, that the initiating-device circuits have been tested, and that the wiring is correct.

Remove power from initiating-device circuits before installing detectors.
1. Wire the sensor base per the wiring diagram, Figure 1.
2. Install the sensor into the sensor base. Push the sensor into the base while turning it clockwise to secure it in place.
3. After all sensors have been installed, apply power to the control unit.
4. Test the sensor(s) as described in the TESTING section of this manual.
5. Notify the proper authorities that the system is in operation.

Warning:Forbid connect 24VDC directly without current-limiting resistance. Otherwise, the detector would be burnt out.
