Introduction

Linear beam smoke fire detector consists of transmitting and receiving parts. The transmitting part emits a certain intensity of infrared beam. After being reflected on the reflector, the receiving part of the detector synchronously collects and amplifies the returned infrared beam, and analyzes and determines the collected signal through the built-in microcontroller. When the smoke enters the detection area, the intensity of infrared light received by the receiving part is reduced because the smoke blocks the light. When the alarm threshold is reached, the detector will light up the red indicator and upload the fire alarm signal. The detector must be used with the reflector.It works on the principle of reflective infrared beam obscured. Used in conjunction with a reflector, it will notify the fire alarm panel when the infrared beam is obscured by smoke.

The beam detector is suitable for use high ceiling and wide areas such as warehouses, large storages, shopping malls, leisure centres, exhibition halls, hotel lobbies, printing houses, garment factories, museums and prisons, as well as places where slight smoke particles or corrosive gas exist.

Attentions :

  1. If the ceiling height is less than 8 meters, the beam detector should be installed 0.5 meter to 1 meter below the ceiling level.
  2. If the ceiling height is more than 8 meters, the beam detector should be installed 0.5 meter to 1 meter below the ceiling level
  3. The chosen for the location should be clean and dry and not subject to shock, vibration and free from glass wall, sunlight direction any reflective barrier.
  4. Make sure that the beam path is free form obscuration against moving items.

Install the beam detector

 

The detector and reflective mirror are installed on both ends of the protected space and in the same horizontal line.

  1. Attach the detector bracket to the wall where the detector is to be installed and mark the position of the mounting hole.
  2. Punch holes in the marked position, and install φ6 plastic expansion tube in the holes.
  3. Mount bracket to the wall with four ST3.5*25FA tapping screws.
  4. Remove the top cover of the detector, loosen the waterproof connector, and put the wire into the waterproof connector from the back of the detector. The length of the penetration part should be convenient for the wiring of the detector.
  5. Fix the detector base on the bracket with two M4*12*10 screws
